COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS
At STEM Prep, college and career readiness is at the heart of our high school experience. Through dedicated advising, dual enrollment partnerships, career exploration, and real-world learning opportunities, we equip every student with the tools, experiences, and confidence needed to succeed in college and thrive in their future careers.
PROGRAM OF STUDY
Every student at STEM Prep declares a program of academic study that includes field experience, practicums, and service learning. Our academic pathways include Health Services (Medical), Computer Science, and Advanced Academics. We also offer a robust catalog of dual enrollment courses for every program of study in partnership with Cumberland University, NC State, Vol State, and Trevecca Universities to further enhance college and career readiness.
STUDENTS AT STEM PREP HIGH WILL BE PREPARED TO NOT ONLY KEEP PACE WITH BUT LEAD THE INDUSTRIES AND INNOVATIONS OF THE 21ST CENTURY.
Through inquiry-based instruction and a first-of-its-kind college credit program in health sciences and information technologies, students deepen their critical thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving skills through project-based learning and workplace simulations in real labs and design studios. STEM Prep High graduates will be the most competitive applicants to the university or career pathway of their choice.
STUDENT SPORTS
Our students are proud to call themselves Chargers! STEM Prep offers High School Soccer, Basketball, and Cheerleading. We also co-op with neighboring schools to provide additional athletic opportunities in Softball, Baseball, Football, and Volleyball.
SCHOOL CLUBS
Students participate in weekly clubs every Friday for 35 minutes, with access to over 45 extracurricular options. These clubs are designed to help students explore their interests, build leadership skills, and strengthen their academic portfolios for college applications. Popular clubs include Drama, Debate, YCAP High Achievers Club, Everyday Medical Knowledge Club, Chess Club, Community Service Club, and Flag Football Club.
